Summer Camp 15 July (Day 18)

Summer Camp 2020
Day 18

Sports

Today we all got a healthy dose of vitamin D while playing in the sun. We learnt how to control the ball when using a scoop. We caught balls, hurled balls to our partners with the scoop and we also had the opportunity to aim and shoot goals.

We went inside and played on scooter boards as well as playing several games of 'battle pins'.

Quest
Today, the students started creating their ESCAPE ROOM!

They wrote the questions and the clues for each room. To escape the room, they need to solve different questions, clues and tasks by providing answers to the clues given. They used different strategies such as: color coding, number problems, finding the code, riddles, puzzles and many more.

Mad Scientists

The Mad Scientists made secret letters using invisible lemon juice. They found out that by applying heat the letters became visible.

The children also enjoyed making a sundial or a sun clock. They were very happy to showcase their artistic abilities in this activity!

Digital Masterpieces

Today Digital Masterpieces welcomed a new group of young learners.
We had fun with patterns and animals.

We used patterns and color and created some word art:

We also mixed up some grey paint and painted an elephant picture before Story Time. After snack and play we read the story of Elmar the patchwork elephant and learned that being different can be a really positive thing which brings joy to our friends.

To celebrate our differences we decorated our grey elephants with colors and patterns!

Pre Kindergarten
We read a story "The Very Busy Spider" By Eric Carle and children made their own spider web using a yarn. Some of them even pretended the spider was actually weaving the web!

We also made a play dough out of bread crumbs for the sensory time.
All of them couldn't help smiling when they tasted bread crumbs!

Kindergarten
Kindergarten went shopping today, looking for fruits they could use to make a cocktail! We had to choose carefully as not all fruits have juice.
