Summer Camp 14 July (Day 17)

Summer Camp 2020
Day 17

Sports

Students today performed lots of hand-eye coordination activities with the scoop and ball.

Students decided that they needed more of a challenge so we all morphed into Edward 'Scoophands'.

                                     Catching and passing.

We played a game of 'Scoopball battle pins'.

And then we finished off the day with fun on wheels.

We found a way to 'social distance' while being on wheels.

Quest
Today, the students started creating their ESCAPE ROOM!
They wrote the questions and the clues for each room. To escape the room, they need to solve different questions, clues and tasks by providing answers to the clues given. They used different strategies such as: color coding, number problems, finding the code, riddles, puzzles and many more.

Mad Scientists
Today we made beautiful and functional sundials or sun clocks. We used paper plates that we painted then we added the numbers and used our artistic talents to decorate our sundials. We are eager to test our sundials on a sunny day!

Digital Masterpieces

Today Digital Masterpieces welcomed a new group of young learners.
We looked at patterns and color and created some word art:

We also mixed up some grey paint and painted an elephant picture before Story Time. After snack and play we read the story of Elmar the patchwork elephant and learned that being different can be a really positive thing which brings joy to our friends.

To celebrate our differences we decorated our grey elephants with colors and patterns!

Pre Kindergarten
We started a day with "The Eensy Weensy Spider","Where is thumbkin?" songs.
Children had a lot of fun decorating a picture frame with stickers and shells for the creative time.
All the picture frame became very unique!

After the snack time, we read a story "The Very Busy Spider" by Eric Carle and made their own spider web!
One more fun activity we did was "Taste Testing" activity. We enjoyed making fresh juice using our five senses.

Kindergarten
We read the story "Mouse mess" again. Children made their own "messy room' collage with the mouse. Please look close how good they drew the mouse!

Kindergarten had a busy morning - making glue pictures, designing music shaker boxes and finding time for indoor rain free frizzbe!
