Summer Camp 30 June (Day 7)

Summer Camp 2020
Day 7

Sports
Due to a rainy day we spent the morning inside. We all had lots of fun while improving our throwing, catching, striking and aiming skills. Students used both scoop and ball as well as the floor hockey sticks to played various games

'Battle pins' was modified in a way where students could use their hockey sticks and scoop and balls to knock over the pins.

We finished off the day with fun on wheels while playing a game of 'Battlestar Galactica'.

Mad Scientists

We had an experiment that showed that hot water is lighter than cold water.

The hot water that we colored yellow stayed on top of the cold blue water. Then, we reversed the  experiment, by putting the cold water on top of the hot water. Since the cold water was heavier, it went down to the hot water and the colors mixed together.

Quest
This day was filled with a lot of coding and decoding! They used their CODE WHEEL and became masters in sending messages to one another. They also learned about the PIG PEN CYPHER.

They also created messages using the INVISIBLE INK.

Lastly, the used the REVERSE METHOD using a mirror to understand the words written.

Digital Masterpieces
Today in Digital Masterpieces we continue to draw inspiration from the digital.
Just like french street artist Invader (whose work can be seen in Tokyo and all over the world) we created some of our own pixel art.

We also used the Tate Kids painting app to create our own creature inspired by some digitally produced sounds.

Pre Kindergarten
We started a day with a "BINGO" song! We used sticks and had fun making various rhythms.
Also we had "Snow Party" after singing "Snow Flake" song and read a story about snow.
We couldn't bring real snow but it looks very real, right? They were so happy to play with snow in the middle of summer!

Early Years
We started the day with making Alien play dough and coming up with some interesting shapes. Then
we read the story "We Going on The Bear Hunt" and girls made their own telescope.
And we went to the bear hunt in Kindergarten and around the school!
