Summer Camp 24 June (Day 3)

Summer Camp 2020
Day 3

Sports

Students today enjoyed improving their floor hockey skills. These included ball control skills and striking the ball with the stick.

A game of floor hockey foosball was then played.

Another hot day today and we all went inside to perform yoga and learned about 'Tiny' the dinosaur.

We concluded the day by having fun on wheels. Our inquiry thinkers wanted to make the scooter boards go faster and so came up with the idea all by themselves to lubricate the wheels with wet wipes.

Quest

Spot the Difference
To master the art of observing, they looked at pictures and spotted the difference in each photos.

Scavenger Hunt
To finish off Preschool's Quest Theme, all the students went on a Scavenger Hunt. They followed 12 clues to hunt for things. They were like little secret 'spies' around the school looking for answers to the questions and clues given!

Mad Scientists
We had fun making the naked egg experiment! We dipped fresh eggs in a solution of vinegar and food coloring. In a few days we will find out if our hypothesis was correct. We observed osmosis and reactions in the experiment.

Digital Masterpieces

Today in Digital Masterpieces we continue to draw inspiration from the digital.
Just like french street artist Invader (whose work can be seen in Tokyo and all over the world) we created some of our own pixel art.

We also used the Tate Kids painting app to create our own creature inspired by some digitally produced sounds.

Pre-Kindergarten

We had a new morning circle song in German - Wenn der Sommer kommt! song We did sensory play using beans of different colours. We listened to the story ' We're going on a Bear Hunt' by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury. To help us hunt for the bear, we made our own binoculars. We will continue bear hunting on Friday!

Kindergarten

We read the story "The Little Cloud" and children made a beautiful collage. Can you see the different clouds in the sky?
