Summer Camp 23 June (Day 2)

Summer Camp 2020
Day 2

Sports
Students had lots of fun today exploring different activities while being both outside and indoors. In the morning students were introduced to scoop & ball skills. This was later followed by a game.

We then decided to move inside and with the nice and cool air conditioning, we performed some yoga. To finish a fun-filled day, everyone had the chance to play on the scooter boards.

Mad Scientists
We had fun investigating how mold could grow on bread. The Mad Scientists held bread with clean and dirty hands and after several days we will check to see the bread slices and the amount of mold growth on each slice of bread. The children hypothesized that the bread held with clean hands will have less mold than the ones held with dirty hands.

Quest
The students work on their focus and attention making sure that they get the colours correctly.
Look at Keigo and Tomoharu do the challenge!

Brain Teaser: The Stroop Test
Let's see if you can do it better than them!
Test how fast you can NAME THE COLOR  - DON'T read word!

The students also made their own puzzle!

Digital Masterpieces

Today in Digital Masterpieces we learned about Jackson Pollock's ACTION art. We created our own action art with paint.

We also built a simple robot with a vibration motor and watched our robots draw line art.

Early Years
The kindergarten had fun today looking at a new story Little Cloud and then trying to imagine of they were a cloud what shape would they be - we had a lot of sharks! Can you tell which is the most dangerous?

They also made their own play dough today. Children needed lots of power to mould the dough!

Pre-Kindergarten

Pre-Kindergarten made their own clay using flour, salt and water. They listened to the story the Little Cloud and created a model of the little cloud taking the forms of the shark, sheep, airplane, rabbit and others. They observed insects and played outside too. It was a FUN first day of Summer Camp!
